It really is so different for women than it is for men as well, there's so much mom-guilt but rarely do I encounter dad guilt. Even the single dads I know get out, do more, have more free time, than the single moms by far, and society in general is holding them up for doing something basic and right like being around for their children, which is just expected of mothers.

Children have been the best gifts in my life no question, sometimes I wonder however what I'd be doing if I hadn't spent my entire adult life as a mother, but I suppose that's a fools errand, I keep focused on the idea that by the time most of the people I know will be in the thick of raising a family and juggling all that I have on my plate now, I'll be 40-45 and my babies will be grown (and maybe even out of the house) and I'll be a free agent to do as I please.
